The Beijing Conference and Exhibition on Instrumental Analysis (BCEIA), sponsored by the China Association for Instrumental Analysis (CAIA) and supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC, has since 1985 been a biennial international event in China with its aim to promote academic exchanges among scientists of various countries and regions as well as trade cooperation between the Chinese and foreign partners in this field.

　　BCEIA has been the largest and most influential international conference and exhibition on instrumental analysis ever held in China, enjoying in China an international status similar to that of the Pittsburgh

　　Conference and Exposition on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (PITTCON)in the United States. Meanwhile, a long-term friendly relation and cooperation between BCEIA and PITTCON has been established. BCEIA also has established since 2002 friendly cooperation with Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers Association (JAIMA).
